Our three-week coral quarantine process
Our coral QT process includes three weeks of milbemycin oxime treatment with weekly potassium chloride (KCl) dips, designed to reduce the risk of unwanted pests entering your reef.
Quarantine is not a pest-free guarantee. Pests or eggs may remain. We urge every customer to do their own due diligence: carefully inspect new corals, use coral-appropriate dips when needed, and quarantine new additions before introducing them to a display aquarium.

LPS lighting and flow
LPS corals have different needs. The examples below apply to the named corals, not every LPS species. Acclimate new arrivals gradually and leave room for expansion and stinging tentacles.
Hammer corals
- Lighting: Moderate light, approximately 80–150 PAR, with gradual acclimation.
- Flow: Gentle to moderate, indirect movement. Aim for a relaxed sway rather than forceful whipping of the tissue.
Torch corals
- Lighting: Moderate light. Approximately 80–120 PAR can be a useful starting reference, adjusted gradually for the specimen and its previous conditions.
- Flow: Moderate to strong, indirect movement that lets the tentacles move freely without a constant direct blast.
- Placement: Allow generous clearance from neighboring corals and reassess as the coral expands.
Keep water chemistry stable. Ask us for placement advice for other LPS varieties or your specific aquarium.
